Self-portrait photography is a medium I have practiced for many years now. It is both a form of creative expression and a tool for self-exploration, interpreting and understanding the world as I see it. I create from observation, finding small details and moments and capturing them imaginatively through my camera and post-production techniques.
I am not the kind of photographer who is concerned with being technically correct. I want to create feeling, mood and connection and often this comes from the imperfections. The images that are a combination of elements that only came together in that exact way at that exact moment while shooting or editing are where the magic is found. I often find the concept of an image takes on a life of its own, evolving throughout the process.
